So many issues. But so much potential. Either way, Chloe Moretz is for sure a star in the making.

Rodarte for Target (NH Stores, Prepare to Be Stormed)

Friday, December 11, 2009 | |

Wandering in the lovely Atlantic Terminal Target store in Brooklyn, dear Rebecca and I were a little disappointed in the clothing selection. But come the 20th of this month, I'm sure we'll both be raiding our nearest stores, as Rodarte's line goes up for sale.

Kate and Laura Mulleavey are the sisters behind the booming label. Since it began in 2005 they have become favored by Anna Wintour and promoted by the many actresses wearing their gauzy, often raw gowns. And in keeping with her promotion of the best of American fashion, Michelle Obama has donned two Rodarte pieces this fall.

Here are my absolute favorites from the Target lookbook, featured by NY Mag. Not entirely sure about my ability to pull off the ribcage dress yet, but so badass.

You're Welcome.

Post-mod popstar meets the Queen of England. Universe implodes, in the best way ever.

Japanese-French Cult Design in the White House. Hell Yes.

Hey Obama administration. I get why people are giving you shit. You're dragging your feet on granting equal rights to gay Americans, more soldiers in Afghanistan is an iffy move to say the least (Some might call it a "surge". Oops!), and people are being outrageously impatient about the economy. Desireé Rogers, White House social secretary and special assistant to the President, is getting flack for letting two famewhores get into a state dinner. But at the Kennedy Center Honors no one was talking about anything else but the outrageously FABULOUS dress she wore. So yeah, things aren't perfect, but I'm okay with taking some shallow pleasure in my government's sartorial domination.

Comme des Garçons, haters!!!

(wish there was a bigger picture, interwebs.)

P.S. Can we be done talking about these two assholes? Yes?
