Fever Ray - "Keep the Streets Empty for Me"

Another gorgeous video from Fever Ray, the fifth one made from a track on the self-titled debut of the project. It's directed by Swedish duo Jens Klevje and Fabian Svensson, and is absolutely spot-on. It basically looks like a film from the Criterion Collection, which is appropriate, because Fever Ray's collection of clips is a veritable Criterion Collection of music videos. Enjoy the black and white beauty!

Beach House - New Single "Norway"

If you haven't been in awe of Beach House yet, get on it. Baltimore duo Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally have already made two great records under the only blog-produced genre name I don't mind, "Dream Pop". I mean, Dream Pop. Is there anyway you can go wrong?

Their newest LP Teen Dream is being released on Subpop in January, with an accompanying DVD featuring a video for each song by a separate director. Having heard it, I can say that I can't imagine any album having an easy time of topping it in 2010. The first single is "Norway" which for several reasons knocks this gal flat. Raw, heartfelt, dreamy, gorgeous sonic love.
